Opening Times: The palace is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Last Admission: Last entry is 1 hour before closure. The ticket office closes at 5:00 PM. 

Closed Days: Dolmabahçe Palace is closed every Monday, New Year’s Day, 1st Day of Ramadan Bayram, and 1st Day of The Feast of the Sacrifice.

The best visiting time to Dolmabahçe Palace is early or late morning. On the other hand, around 2:00 and 3:00 PM is always the busiest, whether during the week or on weekends.

The best days to visit the palace are Wednesdays and Thursdays. These days are usually the least busy.

Tuesdays and Fridays are also suitable for a quiet visit, but before 2:00 PM.

The Dolmabahçe Palace is usually most crowded on weekends, with Sundays always being the busiest. If you decide to visit on the weekend, it is recommended to go early in the morning.

Map & Directions

From Sultanahmet: Take the tram T1 and go 7 stops to Kabataş station. From there, it is just a 4-minute walk to Dolmabahçe Palace.

From Taksim: The easiest way to reach the palace from Taksim is to walk about 10 minutes to the "Fındıklı Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi" Tram stop. There, take the T1 Tram line and go 3 stops to the Kabataş stop. After 4 minutes on foot, you will be at the palace.

From Kadıköy: Take the ferry from Kadıköy ferry station to Beşiktaş. From there, walk 9 minutes to Dolmabahçe Palace.
